Valley Campground is a tranquil, private camping ground south of Hobart.

Set yourself up on a grassed site, bordered by native shrubs, listen to the river running by and enjoy a place alive with Tasmanian wildlife.                                            
Take yourself for a short stroll along the riverbank, light a fire pot, and spend an evening relaxing with family and friends under the magical southern night sky. 

Valley Campground is an ideal stopover location for self-contained campers, touring cyclists or families with vans or tents who are keen to explore and enjoy the beautiful Huon valley and beyond. 

It’s camping… the way it should be.

Sites are avaialble from September - April inclusive, campground is closed in the colder months of May - August.

$15 per person per night

Powered sites cost an extra $10 per site per night. Children 7 yrs and under are free.


Firewood is available $10 per wheelbarrow load. Pets under control are very welcome.

Valley Campground (also known as Sally's Paddock) aims to be a zero waste camping ground.

You can recycle your plastic/ cardboard/ glass in the bins provided.

Food waste can be placed in compost bins.

Please help yourself to fresh produce growing in the herb beds when preparing your meals.
